The field of Elite runners at True Grit’s brand new WA course at Linga Longa Estate on October 22nd was very competitive, with a host of entrants travelling from all across the state, to the West for the best.
The Elite Wave is the first wave of every True Grit 10km race around the country – held at 0830hrs on the morning of the Saturday event. The Elite Wave is timed and competitive, with the first, second and third male and female to cross the line winning an epic range of prizes from our sponsors.Â
The men’s race put on a show with the top 4 finishing in under an hour and overall a very competitive top 10. Sam Shepherd finished with an epic time of 53.39, with Gordon Milne second with 54.50 and Callum Duncan with 56mins.
We had an exciting draw for third place in the female’s race with Alexandra Peter and Heidi Meares coming in at 1.16.35. Savannah Olsthoorn took out the top spot in a time of 1.10.08 and Kylee Ferrell close behind on 1.11.13.
