The Elite Wave is the first wave of every True Grit 10km race around the country – held at 0830hrs on the morning of the Saturday event. The Elite Wave is timed and competitive, with the first, second and third male and female to cross the line winning an epic range of prizes from our sponsors.Â
The field of Elite runners at True Grit’s brand new QLD course at Kooralbyn on August 20th was very competitive, with a host of entrants travelling from all across Queensland as well as interstate.Â
The female race put on a show with reigning NSW21 and NSW22 champ Jordan Green and 2022 Enduro Female Winner Robyn Koszta battling it out head-to-head for a close finish. Congratulations to both competitors and to Jordan for taking out the win.
Both male and female races were fast (with what would normally have been a 10km course shortened at the last minute due to safety reasons), with the below blistering times clocked by our elite competitors. Congratulations to Adrian Jannenga for taking out top spot in the Males with just over 40.5 minutes – epic!
A huge congratulations to our podium winners, they scored some amazing prizes from our sponsors including:
- Suunto 5 Peak Watch for the Winners
- Cash from Nippy’sÂ
- True Protein prize pack
- Greendragon Sports Cream prize pack
- Run Vault voucher
- True Grit QLD 2023 Elites Entry
