At True Grit we don’t just hand out medals after completing 10km and 30+ obstacles of effort. You need to put in the hard yards over a period of time to earn the mark, just as you do in the military. You will be challenged over a number of events in order to earn your stripes.
True Grit Bronze Medal
True Grit Silver Medal
True Grit Gold Medal
When you complete seven True Grit events, you are officially inducted into the True Grit Hall of Fame as a True Grit Gold Medalist.
*We will reward you with free entry to run in the 10am Gold Medal Wave at any True Grit event across the country (Gold Medal Wave only).
Half events, Urban, Night Attack and Kids Course events unfortunately don’t count to working towards your True Grit medal.
If you are already the rightful recipient of a True Grit Bronze, Silver or Gold medal, our record will reflect this and you will proudly be presented our medal at your next True Grit event.
We have all the records of our obstacle racers on file and simply by registering for your next event this will update our records to the medal you are eligible for. Be sure to use the same email address each year when registering.
When you arrive and check-in at the Registrations Tent, you will be allocated 2 wristbands if you are due to receive a medal after completion of that event.
All medals are presented at the True Grit finish line. Unfortunately no medals will be posted out, so you will need to attend an event to get your medal at the Finish Line.
Every True Grit 10km event you run contributes to your tally, so you can run a True Grit event in any state and there is no time limit to run the events in.
