What an epic weekend! After weeks of rain, the sun finally came out, and so did our incredible Gritters, ready to crush the course.
A massive thank you to our volunteers, event production team, and every single Gritter who showed up and gave it their all. You’re the heart and soul of True Grit—showing what determination and grit are all about.
A huge shoutout to our amazing sponsors—Staminade, UNDO THIS MESS, Gage Roads Beer, Gatorz, GME, Scenic Rim Council, and the Queensland Government. Your support made this event possible, and we couldn’t be more grateful 🙌.
Let’s not forget our Elite racers who set the bar high on Saturday.
For the Female Elite, Kate Boyd led the way with a time of 1 hour and 3 minutes 🏃♀️, followed by Laurie Edwards at 1 hour and 33 minutes, and Stacie Rider at 1 hour and 34 minutes. In the Men’s Elite, first-time True Grit racers and brothers Kye and Toby Duesbury took the top spots with impressive times of 52:07 and 52:20 🏅, and Bryan Smith finished close behind at 52:34. Outstanding performances all around.
