Mud, Mayhem….Mum!

By

This Mother’s Day, it’s mud over breakfast in bed!

Mother’s Day usually means flowers, chocolates, and those interesting gifts kids pick out from the school stall… but this year, it’s time for something different.

The mums of South Australia have spoken. They want a little mayhem, they want to push themselves to the limit, and, for reasons best known to themselves, they want a big pile of mud!

So, the True Grit team has obliged and created the Mother’s Day Waves, but this isn’t just for mums!

On Sunday 11 May 2025, whether you’re a mum, running in support of a mum, or dedicating your run to a mother figure in your life, these waves are for you.

Join the movement, get a little muddy, and make it count, because when you run in these waves, $5 from your ticket will be donated to our charity partners, Black Dog Institute and Invictus Australia. These organisations make a real difference in people’s lives (more on them below).

Why join the Mother’s Day Wave?

Why? To celebrate the incredible Mothers and Women in our lives, those who inspire, love, and empower us every day. Honour them with our strength, determination, and unity, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

True Grit also exists to help everyday Australians feel alive by stepping outside their comfort zones and reconnecting with their true sense of self, to feel happier and healthier by having a muddy good time.
