True Grit Sydney 2026: New Dates + 12 Hour Enduro

By

TRUE GRIT SYDNEY – 27 JUNE 2026

True Grit has made a massive decision to move our upcoming True Grit Sydney event from its scheduled March date to 27 June 2026.

Further to this, we have automatically moved allocated wave times to approx. 35 minutes later than originally scheduled.

This decision has not been made lightly and is driven by our position to put on not only a significantly improved event but our belief that we are in a place to put on one of the best obstacle course events ever!

There are significant improvements that we believe will greatly enhance the event, and the experience of participants and spectators.

Firstly, we are relocating the course not only closer to the Hawkesbury River, but to include the river!

True Grit Sydney to include the mighty Hawkesbury as part of the course!

This new location allows us to deliver a more dynamic, challenging, and memorable course, incorporating improved terrain, natural features, and a more immersive environment that simply is not possible anywhere else.

Secondly, we are excited to confirm that we will be adding a brand-new 12 Hour Enduro event (all the details of which we will release in the coming week).

This addition responds to the overwhelming demand from our community and creates a bigger, more exciting event atmosphere for both competitors and spectators. Whether you are racing, supporting, or considering stepping up to the enduro format, this enhancement adds real value to the overall experience.

These changes to the event require an amendment to the Development Application that allows us to run an event at the property, additional course design, lighting, safety planning, medical coverage, volunteer coordination, and timing systems. Postponing ensures we can deliver this format properly, safely, and professionally—rather than introducing it in a rushed or compromised way.

Moving the wave times back slightly also helps to ensure the event runs more smoothly and safely, meaning shorter queues, better course flow, and a more enjoyable experience with fewer bottlenecks on the course.

It also allows us to offer high quality overnight camping in a far more scenic and better equipped location than previous years. This includes river side camping sites, hot showers, a bar and evening entertainment.

We understand that this will be an inconvenience to some, but we enter into this knowing that these changes are needed to make the event bigger, muddier, and more challenging than ever before.

Again, we are sorry for inconveniencing you.

All existing registrants will receive an email directly today (10 February, 2026) with all of the details.
